The main problem, as has been mentioned is the general public. I feel that the usual crowd who insist on going abroad to the Costa Del Fish n Chips, and want to party all night on all inclusive alcohol, will now turn to camping this year.
Buy a cheap tent, sleeping bag and airbed from Halfords and head to the campsites without knowing how to holiday sociably on a campsite. Plus the usual M5 20 mile tailbacks for the services toilet stop.

I might actually give it a miss and head into the Peaks campsites instead Whistle

I think the club sites might be ok as limited numbers to comply and strict noise times , but some won’t give a Censored and will let them in for as much £££££ as they can get , we are thinking just use our boat more this summer and think about camping later in the year Thumbs Up

Our first caravan trip is not planned until early September, and having seen the chaos and unsociable behaviour in the Peak District over the last few weeks, won’t be venturing there either until everything calms down a bit, which will hopefully happen as Wales and Scotland opens up it’s area to visitors again, which should take some of the pressure off.

I reckon you are right there. We've had self catering booked in Devon and Cornwall since last year for a couple of trips in late July and September. We will travel non stop from door-to-door with supplies on board. The odd trip to a supermarket in the week and then plenty of open space walking. So, it will be just like being at home but different walls Rolling with laughter

Due to be taking the Tin Tent to Looe in Cornwall, end of Aug/1st week Sept. Just keeping an open mind at the moment. Pitch was booked ages ago, but very small deposit paid.

Might need to keep their pitchforks sharp for working the fields. Might not be much other employment left if they have their way. Whistle

We were taking our motorhome into Europe this year but have joined the Caravan and Motorhome club and booked August in England, 3 sites on 3 coasts. Start at Gt Yarmouth then down to the South Coast (Hastings) then West Coast (Burnham on Sea). Something a little bit different to our normal holiday but then its not been a normal year has it Whistle

Booked 10 days in Suffolk for August and 10 days in Kent for September both CL sites. We know the sites so plenty of space between units.Owners have accepted the booking but subject to government advice. Would normally be in Cornwall at this time of the year but sad as we were looking forward to going with friends. Sad Sad
