Where did you run the cable? I ran mine down the passenger side but if you ran yours down the drivers side then check the cable run for damage? Series 1 V8
Series 2 Hibrid V8
Discovery 3 HSE V8

Hi, I ran the signal cable down the passenger side, so still thinking what could cause this.
