Back in a D3 - Looking for Upgrades
Hello..!
Back in a Disco 3 after 8 years and consequently, back on Disco3.
Only had it five days but have already spent too much time on the forum!!
I have used the search facility and looked through pages and pages of information however, I am hoping I can get some direct answers to some questions
1. I would like to connect my iPod. I've currently got in in the AUX socket but it's not the best solution. In my old car I had a cradle but I'm hoping there's an alternative to this by now.
2. I was looking at an old thread where the phone information was being displayed on the Satnav screen but didn't really understand what was going on I have a late 2009 model so can this be an option?
3. Is there an upgrade to the "phone store name" scenario? Even my transit could dial any name from the phonebook.
or...
4. Can I forget all of the above and have the whole system replaced with some all singing, all dancing DAB/Apple/Android/Satnav system?
Your patience and knowledge, gratefully accepted nil admirari

I fitted a Pioneer head unit and I am looking to fit something in the sat nav opening, just not sure what. I used the Connects 2 kit off ebay to bypass the amp and it works spot on.Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

Sadly not; went five years ago, sump guard included. I think your tyres ended up with Steve Norman, along with other spare bits. Had I known...Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana
Thank you Alex, it's good to be back!! Do you still have your original D3? If so, can I have my sump guard back?
DSL. Thank you. Looks like I'll have to spend £300 to have da bangin toonz..!
Well... I've just fitted an Android head unit in place of the original screen - does everything a "modern" car does including Bluetooth audio, NAV, carplay, reverse camera etc.
But I removed my Audio Connectivity Module - and I don't need it. Has the cradle, and all cables, converter etc.
Want to make me an offer? Or it's going in the bin 2012 Discovery 4 HSE Sumatra Black

If you are selling your ACM then please drop me a pm with what you want for it as I’ve been looking for a while... hopefully suitable for HiLine connections?
CheersI want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

@Scwede what Android unit did you fit? Have you left the old car audio in place?2008 D3 HSE Stornoway Grey with Ebony Leather, towing a Coachman VIP 575
Since I fitted it I've also installed the Agama launcher app so it looks much more like it was supposed to be there, even starts with the Land Rover logo!
Original audio is still there, it replaces the Sat Nav screen.
