Thanks. I put an inquiry in expecting it to take ages for a reply but they replied in less than 5 mins!

Ordered mine and took just over 2 weeks to be delivered. Looking forward to fitting this over the weekend!

I'm a bit of a tech Philistine, so forgive me if these questions are overly simple.
Can you connect a thumb drive or SD card to the unit to play MP3 audio content?
Does the rearview camera automatically initialize when you shift into reverse?
The original H/K radio system stays in place and all those functions still work like sat. radio, etc?
All the system info messages (TPMS alert, brake wear indicator, etc.) on the main instrument cluster will remain fully operable?
Thank you.

Scwede any pics of how you hid the aux wire?
I had no patience and fitted it already.

Hi,
Yes you can, it has USB inputs so you can connect anything as per a tablet, I routed the USB into the glovebox and one to below the radio (for carplay).
The camera comes on automatically - you have to connect an extra wire, but it's all in the kit.
Yes HK stays where it is - all radio functions work - there's a digital radio on the unit but I haven't connected the antenna, i just use the existing head unit.
It doesn't affect the instrument cluster, you just lose the old Sat Nav and 4x4 screen 2012 Discovery 4 HSE Sumatra Black

No.. because I'd have to take it apart again to take photos
But... I routed the cable under the gear lever, handbrake etc. Drilled a hole through the cubby and then removed the Aux port, connected it and pushed inside where it normally sits, then closed the cover.
So now i have no AUX port but you can't see the cable - if that makes sense? I'll try and take a photo for you. 2012 Discovery 4 HSE Sumatra Black

Yes, it has a DAB function/ app - but I can't test it as there is no digital radio where I live. 2012 Discovery 4 HSE Sumatra Black

Cheers buddy. Picture not necessary as I get what you mean. I don't use the rear lighter for anything so I can push it all in to stop the kids kicking it and breaking the aux wire!

Balls.
All working perfectly but I forgot to connect the PDC panel. Now the radio and the Android won't power up.

Out of curiosity, which fuse? Mine just stopped working but I haven't investigated yet.

I think it was 53. It was a 15A fuse and I nicked the one out of the rear wiper as I had no spares.

Worth noting my head unit was also dead so if it's just your Android unit it might be a different issue
