Temp guage issue

I've got an issue with my temp gauge, I can be going along and the needle will go down to no temp then pick up and be normal for a bit.

I think the needle tends to go to zero when on a slight incline.

no other issues no lights no warnings!

anyone any ideas seems a tricky one to find

Had this on mine a couple of years ago, oil temp sensor tends to be the problem from reading on here, very easy to change costs about £25

It’s on the sump not far from the sump plug, easier to do when you change the oil.
I believe it works together with the coolant temp sensor so can affect the reading you get on the dash.
Hopefully somebody else might be along to confirm this. Hope that makes sense. Regards Lee
