I am a native Brum, and have found that if I use the Brum twang it works better 110 XS Utility

Little Miss Do$h has commented that I sound "very serious" when talking to the car. She did a passable impression of me "commanding" the phone system and lo, the car listened to her. Usually it just says "sorry?" to her in that slightly superior tone we all know and love.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I don't use all the commands but the one I use regulaly is "Navigation Home" Global Warming.... I'm luvvin it

I use it frequently. I have recorded voice tags for different radio stations, and I have even found the notepad function useful occasionaly.
I find talking firmly to bolly knickers with a Gene Hunt Manc accent gets results
Found the phone works fine. Haven't been able to get past the "Point of Interest: Airport" answer when I try navigation (same as Allicat). And that's as far as I've got so far. Homework for this weekend is trying to memorise the list of commands...
My wife will start to give me strange looks in the morning - I'm sure I will be talking in my sleep and starting sentences with the word "Navigation...." . As long as it isn't followed with name "Suzy"...Or Butch...
The best game is to say stupid things to it and see what it says.

To keep the lady in a box on your side, keep it soft, and don't pause between words:
"PhoneDialName" not "Phone...Dial...Name"
When I forget this, I most often get a response of "Navigation Chinese Restaurant..." which isn't all bad Dr. Ian Malcolm:

Not totally relevant but Linguatronic in my Merc CLK 500 Cab works well with telephone, radio and CD. Not so good with the hood down, too much wind noise. Never tried the LandRover system so cannot compare.2016 D4 Landmark

can't get it to display the map North Up but other than that end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......
