mirror dip when reverse selected |

Don't seem to have this option on settings yet manual says it should be there (no mention of only on HSE).
anyone with an XS have this option and activated it? like the idea of not scratching alloys when parking!
i have reverse camera, does that override this option??? XC90 T8 R Design Pro

I thought it might have been on my XS, but sadly no
The consenus seems to be that unless an item is specifically mentioned as being model/trim specific, then it probably will not be on your vehicle! 4 x 4 x Really Far!

I have the powerfold mirrors on my GS as an option and they dont dip down on R selection. I called my dealer about this and was told, you need the electric memory seats too for this to work. But the book says if u have powerfold mirrors it should do this Cars:-MY11 Evoque SD4 Pure, MY12 Defender 90 XS & MY08 Evo X RS

I think the option is overrated as for me (being a bit vertically challenged!) they dip too far, so I have it tuned off anyway.

Got my Faultmate MSV2 with the new disco licenses yesterday and I am sure this was one of the options in there. If I get a chance tonight i'll fire it up and tested it out, but as said I'm sure pete will have checked this one out already.

I think they work of the electric seat memory module - IISTR there where D3 posts about seat memory and mirrors not moving back into positon after reverse selected - mine used to but couldnt be arsed getting it fixed
So no electric seats, no module?

You will probably find that you can tick the box, but nothing happens.
The position that the mirrors dip to is controlled by, and memorised in, the driver's seat module. If you don't have electric seats, you don't have the module (which is controlled by the keypad on the driver's door).

Thanks for the heads up on adjusting the dip settings - i had turned the whole thing off as they dipped too much, bu now its great. You can even set a different angle for each mirror! (I really should get out a bit more).

Good to find this thread, I was wondering about the same issue.
It would have been a handy feature. It doesn't seem to mention the function in the options/features information on the HSE Model/Electronic Seats.
While I'm on the subject, that was something that really bugged me that I couldn't option/upgrade to the electric adjustable memory seats from the XS model, I don't really understand why - may be some of you more knowledgeable lot could enlighten?
SWMBO is much shorter than me and if she hasn't remembered to lower the seat I can't even get in! And then you have to try to find that "just right" postion over again.
Ah well next time I'll just have to go for the HSE I suppose...

I have just read your comments and you may be able to help me, I tow a large trailer and when reversing I need the mirrors to steer, so when they tilt I lose all vision. you mentioned that you have turned them off please tell how.
many thanks
