Restricted performance discovery 4 2010

Anyone ever had the restricted performance warning come up? Inset off in a rush and I think it may have caused the issue.

The car drives but is restricted in now it picks up speed

I’m told it can just clear itself and maybe just before I set off far too quick

Cheers

Warren

You should be able to see the crack on left or right manifold if you take the engine cover off. If not get them to do a smoke test.

Mine was obvious. Oil under engine cover on the side that was split.

Mine was caused by the water in fuel sensor

Worth checking the left hand (if you are looking from the front of the car into the engine bay) intercooler hose

Heres where the split was on mine -

Could also be a maff sensor. There's 2 of them. Sometimes taking them off and giving them a good old clean does the job I believe, sometimes you need to replace one.

But best get your codes read, or what would have been an easy and cheap (if anything is cheap on a Disco 4) fix will be more expensive once you've tried everything.

On Darrind's photo the maff sensors are above the words "split was here".

Also the Maffs can be swapped around so that may help diagnose the fault...
