Fitted a replacement head unit in my 2006/7 HSE D3 today. All works well and I thought I would check to see if my phone would Bluetooth to it . It won’t. I recall on our old D 3 a chap sold me a little black box unit which fitted somewhere behind the drivers side rear three quarter trim panel necessitating removal of a couple of bolts and some trim clips.
Cannot remember which member on here did it though? Are they still supplying these units?
Made a decision to fix all the niggling little things which don’t work right for me on the car and see how much further past 200,000 miles we can go. Compressor crystals / recon,a new coolant bottle pressure reservoir to turn off the annoying low coolant faulty sensor and a front brake pad wear cable is the current list. Not bad for an old car..... Discovery 3 tdv6 HSE 2007

BT phone unit is a seperate unit...
If Factory fitted it is in the MOST bus, can be retero fitted..
There were also “electrical” wired LR retrofit sets is i recall right...
If you have a MOST bus in your D3 (fiber optic cable) you can easy fit a D4 BT unit... needs only 12v + and minus + MOST bus extension.
I may even have such a unit and extension for you, if needed Best regards

My car definitely has fibre optic to the stereo and I know they connect to a small squarish box in the rear three quarter panel because I had to disconnect the fibre optic cables there as part of a check to see if that was stopping my old stereo, from working. One screw / bolt in the centre holds the square unit from memory?
If you have the later unit which will work for my car I’d be happy to,buy it from you. My car is fitted with the original Nokia phone and cradle in the arm rear but it’s not used. Car doesn’t recognise its fitted I don’t think from the quick look I had when trying to connect my Bluetooth I phone to the car tonight. Discovery 3 tdv6 HSE 2007

Ok, then you seem to have a BT unit...
May worth a try to get it working though.... before we make arrangements if you have sound in your vehicle, it is even “on”(line) ...
Did you try i by the manual?
do you have an IID in the neighbourhood tot read fault codes.?
They also can be flashed to more recent firmware with a IID..
If replacement is the only option for you, i have both a D3 nokia with updated Firmware and a D4 FoMoCo
The First is just plug in and play, with that big multiplug and MOST, The latter needs 2 wires (12v) and MOST
PM me if interested.. Best regards
