Mystery sound

Hi there,

as I was walking past my PARKED car today I heard a distinct clicking noise, like the fast ticking sound of a relay. It came from the right hand front side...near the front wheel arch. This went on for about half a minute and then stopped. Now the car had been sitting there for a day or so...engine cold, ignition off. Is it alive???? Shocked

bewildered greetings,

Ralph

P.S. I should mention that there is some kind of suspension issue. When it`s cold the car goes down over night to its bump stops....maybe it's trying to level out??

Cheers man. That must be the explanation Thumbs Up

Has anyone got an idea where the air could be escaping? Car goes down evenly on all four sides over night, but only if it's cold...especially below zero. Pumps straight up again after engine start. Compressor?

Pull fuse F26 out when the car is raised so the ecu can't control the valve blocks then leave it overnight (or for several days) to see what happens. It would be sensible to measure the heights at each wheel before and after.
I did this after servicing the valve blocks and it never dropped a mm in days.
