IIRC, in Airport 1970, cigar-chewing George Kennedy gets a stuck 707 out of the mud by pushing the throttles to the max. When an engineer tells him that's beyond the limits in the manual, he takes out the cigar and says "That's the great thing about the 707 - she can do everything except read".

Unbolt the landing gear, take off, hover somewhere a bit more sold while a new set is bolted and land. Then just dig the wheels out. Sorted.

😳 we used to fly offshore in these, in the 80s. Beast of a machine that we were always pleased to see coming through the fog.
