I’m really happy (still) with my mObridge. Had it now for three years and no issues with sound quality, sound level or phone calls.
Always an option.

First, i did give the link to that product, because i was looking for such a solution... i have no connection to them...
But if i can help a few fellow forum members with shipping....
I had a quick look in my business shipment account...
It looks like that i can arrange shipping to the UK for a package less than 1 kilo for arround €20...
Feel free to start a group buy... so you can divide shipping costs?
When you buy them from that company and they sent it/them to me... and i arrange shipping at bare cost price...
Just an idea..
That's a very kind offer - but I can't imagine there'd be much (if any) uptake from others on one of those, and 20€ shipping on a 4.50€ item isn't really going to work for me!

It would definitely be an option if I was looking to spaff £500 on something, yes! But I'd much rather pay one-hundredth of that, get one of those little Bluetooth boards and have a play with making something up myself.

i agree that 20 will be difficult, but TBH... i would have paid € 40 easy for one.. now i know how good it works for me...
if i start the motor, it connects automatically always, never misses a beat, sound quality is very good... i just select aux i want to hear music from the iphone or follow a formula 1 one race or what ever...
(since there is no need anymore to plug in first..)
i have a iQ phone holder, so wireless charging... bluetooth streaming... no cables on the dash
(only if i need TomTom if the LR nav up... haha) Best regards

Found a few eBay sellers offering very similar Bluetooth receiver boards for around the £4.50 mark, P&P included. Have ordered one to have a play with and see what it can do!

Just search for "bluetooth receiver board" on eBay - you'll get loads of results for similar items. Whether they're any good or not is something I'll find out in a few days...

Well, I'm officially impressed. I ordered one of these - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bluetooth-Audio...3832664600 - on Monday. Arrived in this morning's post.
It's even smaller than the picture suggests - in reality, barely any larger than a 50p piece. Works flawlessly - connect it to audio-in and a USB power adapter, and you get a 'power on' tone and a flashing blue light. Popped up straight away on the list of Bluetooth devices available for pairing, and paired in a couple of seconds with another tone. Crystal-clear audio, at a decent level (doesn't seem to have the low audio level issues referred to by earlier posts in this thread). Absolutely no lag, either - audio syncs perfectly to picture when playing a video on the phone. Absolute bargain for £4.50!
Next step is to find a neat way of fitting it behind a piece of trim somewhere.

They seem to amplify a little bit, so they have a little bit more volume..
But in the end, the aux port itself is softer than the other inputs... so it can not be at the same volume without amplification which annoys me a little bit... 3W with volume control should be enough though..
Available in the same tiny size Best regards

Do you have phone Bluetooth in the car ?
I assume you can’t use them at the same time ?
Can this board be used at phone calls Bluetooth instead?
Do you have an iPhone ?
Oh you need an external 5v power supply with this ?

Pete K wrote:I assume you can’t use them at the same time ?
Yes, you can, like.... phone goes off, pick it up and the “music” mutes...

No idea.... i presume if you take the LR bluetooth out /edit the ccf to non phone...
You can choose on the iphone, what output is used for the sound...
No idea about 🎤 quality vs LR carkit 🎤
Yes i have a iphone (12)

Yup.... just usb plugin... but i have also bought an adapterboard (12v to 5v) so it goes behind the facia/dash soon.. Best regards

This little receiver board doesn't have any onboard amplification over and above outputting the signal at standard line level. I used to run my iPhone in the car with a Lightning adapter which split out the audio on a 3.5mm jack and had another Lightning connector on the other leg for charging. With that setup, running the iPhone audio at maximum volume gave me an audio level out of the D3's speakers which was pretty much the same as the level of the FM radio (my other main audio source in the car is an old Pure Highway unit sending signal to the car via FM modulator). Running Bluetooth audio from the iPhone via this little board produces pretty much exactly the same level as I'd get through the cabled connection - I can switch between FM radio and the Bluetooth board feeding into the Aux input, and the level needs no adjustment.

Yes, I have Bluetooth telephony in the D3. I was wondering the same thing about how phone calls would be handled while i was using this little receiver board for streaming audio, so I tried it. The iPhone happily connects to both the receiver board and the car at the same time. I can stream audio via the receiver into the Aux input, and it switches seamlessly to the D3's Bluetooth connection for phone calls.
Power-wise - I used to run a dual-USB 12v adapter to power my Pure Highway and a charging cable for the phone. I swapped this out for a 3-port one that I had lying around, and used a MicroUSB cable to power the Bluetooth receiver. Works like a charm!

I’ll post some photos etc if anyone’s interested
A bit late to the party, but I would definitely be interested, not just for the bluetooth but for having an amped 3.5mm jack.
Did you stick all that behind the aux/lighter panel? 55-Reg Java Black SE, Unlocked SatNav (via Wiggs and Bodsy), Nudge Bar/Driving Lamps/RAI, Front & Rear Lamp Guards, RLD Sump Plate, RLD spare wheel protector
