Got my "new" D4 this weekend
After a little while of looking, and some advice on here, finally got round to picking up my next Discovery.
Ticked many of the boxes I wanted, would've liked to stretch to an HSE Lux or a Landmark, but couldn't really afford it. Happy with this though, 15 plate, but 65 model, so adblue and EU6 compliant, which was one of my main criteria.
Jobs done this weekend, added an RLD spare wheel protector, and also the LightsLok things for the front lights. Also started to address the rear light issue (what sort of design is that!)
So far, so good, it's lovely to drive, much more refined than my old D3, but oddly similar too. Thought I'd miss carplay from my lease car that's gone back, but the bluetooth streaming isn't too bad.
Was slightly disappointed that is wasn't a heated steering wheel, but guess I can keep an eye out for one over the summer ready for next winter.
Also need to add a tow bar at some point, will probably go with a fixed one.
Couple of piccies of the new beast.

Couple of things I've noticed while checking over before the warranty period runs out, the green ring and selector issue id present, and the external temp issue also seems to be, so have furnished the dealer (A690 cars in Durham) with the details and will be dropping it off with them on the 14th.
They seemed to be questioning the illumination issue, despite me mentioning the TSB, so I've linked a few of the threads on here. Seems to be an issue that goes unnoticed quite a bit.
Hopefully they just get it fixed and it doesn't drag on, will keep people posted.

Do you know, I've toyed with changing it, but the D3 was what got me into this fine mess. As much as I love the D4, the D3 was my first real love (after a ratty old Series III ), feels a bit mean changing it!
