6 disc CD player with Harmon kardon
Basically the CD player has packed up on the wife’s D3 2006. It’s the 6 disc with Harmon kardon. I’ve looked online and I can easily replace it with a second hand eBay unit. However I’ve seen videos of people upgrading there’s but in most cases it says that they either don’t work with Harmon Kardon or the steering wheel controls don’t work or there just always seems to be something that doesn’t work correctly. My question is does anybody know if there is an upgraded head unit that I can fit that will work perfectly with everything and fits straight in. Her model does not have the sat nav screen on the dash if that makes any difference. I really need someone that’s already done this as I don’t want to waste money buying something that I later find out doesn’t work exactly as it should.If at first you don’t succeed, then maybe skydiving isn’t for you!

I have the same issue, my fix was to get a £40 DAB radio transmitter and aerial from Amazon. It’s plug and play and I utilise the aux input. Works a treat and great sound quality.

Not having the screen is in your favour as you gain so much and don't lose anything swapping it out.
