Voice control/command not working?
Hi the only faults I find on buying this landy D3 is a cd stuck in the player, won't eject, and the voice control not working.
I pull the button and nothing no sound etc. I have noticed in voice settings/voice add a name, it asks for some kind of input. Is this anything to do with it? Any threads or ideas that may be wrong?

The CD load and eject is very complicated
Did you try pressing the right round knob and then twist to eject alL? and press

Voice control works for me, and my diction isn’t exactly “Oxford”. I find it really useful for voice dialling hands free.
Have you checked the Navigation DVD in the disc under the passenger seat? The voice command dictionary is stored on that. If it’s faulty there may be an issue. Also if it’s an aftermarket one rather than genuine LR some of them don’t include the dictionary and will disable VR. Took me a couple of tries to get an updated map disk that didn’t break VR.

As an aside would you be able to advise on where you got an updated map disk please?
My VR worked fine until what I assume is a loose connection or clock spring issue stopped it working. All the other steering wheel controls operate fine but one day VR simply stopped dead Not enough of a problem to justify dismantling the steering wheel on its own.Tony

You may have hit it on the head. The is no navigation disc. So I need one for voice?

If you know someone with one, they're dead easy to copy on a dual layer DVD writer.
