ANOTHER brake switch issue resolved

A few weeks back i realised that the Disco wasn't cutting the revs when I braked ... ok the issue only arose as my fat trainers were also catching the accelerator, Car kept trying to go forward as I kept trying to press harder and harder on the brake.

I'd ordered a new switch and, after it happened agin yesterday, swapped to the new one this afternoon. A quick test on the drive didn't seem promising as left-foot braking in Park did nothing to stop car freely revving prodding accelerator with right foot.

However, took it on the road and tried it with gearbox in drive ... and revs drop immediately.

So it was the switch. a quick play with it and it seems to have a slightly sloppy movement but didn't seem broken.

So that's it ... back to the equally scary version where catching brake pedal when, usually, trying to floor it to leave a junction quickly results in the car pausing before leaping forward.
