Which iPad holder

Thinking of adding an iPad to my 15 plate D4 with the rotary gear shift. Looked at Ram mounts and they are expensive. So what other means of mounting an iPad are we all using. Ideally don’t want anything permanent as I’ll take it out when not in use so no hole drilling please.

Cheers Andy

Are you looking to have it in the front (thinking sat nav, music etc) or in the rear (thinking kids watching movies etc)?

RAM mounts are expensive, but they are pretty good as well.

For the rear Land Rover do a Clickbase (I think) mount that goes onto the front seat head rest supports and are pretty neat and sturdy.

Try Brodit they do custom brackets for the vehicle and then holders for the device. Non permanent but well fitted, and you can swap holders on the bracket so phone normally then iPad when you want.

I just fitted one for my iPhone on my D3

100% ram mount, I have one and it’s brilliant and very secure.

Think it was this one https://www.mudstuff.co.uk/collections/ram...tion-mount

It’s for up front so either a suction mount or clip on mount.

Hadn’t thought of Brodit so will give them a look Thumbs Up

That Ram mount looks very good but at £100 are there cheaper alternatives that work just as well.

Thanks for the replies and photos so far though Thumbs Up

I am not familiar with the dash layout of your cars, but if it can help with custom ideas, I used a pair of north south neodymium magnets to mount a GPS, or other things for that matter, so it was completely removable.

Be very careful handling neodymium magnets they can lop off fingers!
