Passenger door won’t lock. Have changed actuator. Fixed
My Disco 4 2015 HSE passenger door will not lock. Have swapped actuator and still have same problem. Have figured out it does lock ok when the interior handle cable is unclipped. Is this a problem with the interior handle? It does seem to move freely. I can see the cable moving when not attached and pressing the lock/unlock. What shall I change next?!

Not sure if this helps but my passenger side door actuator failed and was replaced two years ago, two weeks ago it started failing to lock and I assumed it had failed again.
I locked the car with a double tap on the remote which supposedly locks the car but disables the superlocking and alarm? This was just to see if it had an effect, it locked and now locks on first press of the remote?
In summary all as normal now?
No idea what has happened but of the opinion nothing mechanical or electronic can fix itself?
Something up but answers on a postcard, oops I meant Forum!

Fixed!
In the spirit of feeding back to the forum, as a newbie, I hope this can help others.
My issue was with the interior pull cable itself. The small white plastic holder that is crimped into the cable was lose. As such it had moved down the black cable slightly. As a result when in situ, it was making the whole cable tight. So when I went to lock the car, it was held firm. There are two photos explaining the scenario.
Once I had pushed the white plastic holder back down the cable, into its correct crimped location. All was good and the car locks again on the key.
Not good photo one… you can see the crimp marks where it should be sat.
Correct position photo two
