Rear air con
Hi,
as my rear air con pipes are blanked, what would it take to have rear air con back?
Is it just to buy those pipe, connect them and re-gas the AC system?
If so, how to be sure there is no any dirt in the rear, while pipes were disconnected? Thanks,
Tiho

I would take it to an aircon specialist (ie not kwickfit etc) and have new pipes made rather than fit the LR parts which will just rust again.
I'm sure they will have an idea how to treat the system if its been empty for a while

LR pipes ae expensive, approx 200gbp per section, and there are four sections, the rear two sections are an utter to replace!

Isn’t it only this one that I need LR029191, that connect front and rear?

The rear will have been disconnected because the long pipes to the rear leak

If pipes were cut and folded over (an easy mod) likely due corrosion, then maybe much of rear pipework is weak. There are several long sections of rear aircon pipe, body off job to change them.Chris

Yes they have been disconnected long time ago, before I had the disc.
Here is what I have in the front:
And in the back.
So, was wondering if I can buy above item and reconnect. Thanks,

I would leave as is, and make do with front only unless you are willing to spend significant time and money to repair.
On the disconnected section you could try sealing one pipe end, and applying air pressure to the other, then search for a leak(s).Chris

Ask automotive ac specialist, some of the mobile ones charge very reasonable prices, to replace the rear pipes with plastic ones. Much cheaper and more efficient as they won’t rust out again.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Apparently I have a problem with my pipes for the rear leaking.
so i'm also interested in the recommendations for ac specialist especially mobile ones.
