Can I change the satnav voice from US to UK on a US LR4

Hi all,

I upgraded me beloved LR3 V8 to a late model LR4 landmark 6 months ago. SWMBO has driven it for the last 5 months but now we’re reunited (we’ve moved to Canada to escape the lunacy) I find the LR4 stock US-male voice satnav utterly grating.

I assume that the satnav is standard from the factory with all regions voices in the firmware - but maybe I’m wrong. I’ve checked the standard menus on the screen but I can’t see ‘delete US wuss voice for proper spoken English voice’ as a setting.

Is there any way to change the voice using the IID tool? I admit I haven’t searched through the menus, but wanted to ask if anyone has any idea or could help?

Thanks in advance.

I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

On MY2014 there is also a choice of male or female voices Thumbs Up
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Doh!

Thank you. I played with the menu but confess I didn’t RTFM.

Will try at the weekend.

Thumbs Up it's not exactly intuitive when scrolling through the menus, I remember having similar issues with the same nav system in my Jag, hence digging out the manual.

Hope this fixes it for you 8)

Thanks, NoDosh. I found the menu, but sadly the only choice for an English language voice in a N American build car is male or female but with a US accent. Worth a shot. Thumbs Up
