Can I change the satnav voice from US to UK on a US LR4
Hi all,
I upgraded me beloved LR3 V8 to a late model LR4 landmark 6 months ago. SWMBO has driven it for the last 5 months but now we’re reunited (we’ve moved to Canada to escape the lunacy) I find the LR4 stock US-male voice satnav utterly grating.
I assume that the satnav is standard from the factory with all regions voices in the firmware - but maybe I’m wrong. I’ve checked the standard menus on the screen but I can’t see ‘delete US wuss voice for proper spoken English voice’ as a setting.
Is there any way to change the voice using the IID tool? I admit I haven’t searched through the menus, but wanted to ask if anyone has any idea or could help?

Pages 283 and 286 of the 2014MY handbook (UK edition)I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

On MY2014 there is also a choice of male or female voices It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Thank you. I played with the menu but confess I didn’t RTFM.
it's not exactly intuitive when scrolling through the menus, I remember having similar issues with the same nav system in my Jag, hence digging out the manual.
Hope this fixes it for you 8)I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Thanks, NoDosh. I found the menu, but sadly the only choice for an English language voice in a N American build car is male or female but with a US accent. Worth a shot. PAGODA
