It would be great to watch some TV while waiting on kids at their clubs etc. Or being dad's taxi

Now that is the one thing that was on my wishlist when I bought the Landmark, freeview DVB-T. What's the one thing I never use? Freeview DVB-T. Mainly because it is so slow searching channels & then the signal is hit & miss in rural areas. We therefore mainly use DVD or an MP4 on a USB drive to keep entertained.

So if you don't have it as an option, your not missing much in my opinion, though it might be a different matter if your D3 or D4 is a inner city dweller.

Biggest waste of time ever, use it for 3 minutes with the engine switched off and up comes the warning "low battery, start engine", can't us it above 5mph Crying or Very sad so when can you use it? I have no problems with picture quality, speed of finding or selecting channels it just cannot be used unless stationary and the engine is running so what's the point of SS?

It was an option on all but HSE Lux ISTR ...great for passing the time in the motor when the wife was shopping in Sainsburys but as said otherwise not really practical.

I always forget I have a TV in the car, which must mean I don’t miss it I suppose. I certainly wouldn’t pay for oneas an option.

Each to their own though. Thumbs Up

Cheers for all the replies. Yeah I'm sure it would be more of a novelty as is the dvd player..but just thought it odd that it has dvd function but not TV . Also o know it would be illegal but I'm sure I read there was a way of watching on the move for wife or passenger on long journeys. Hypothetical question obviously Shocked Laughing

Front section would need 'dual view' that allows the passenger to see the TV but the driver to see sat nav ...not sure this was available on the D4 ...but if you had RSE then it would work for DVD and TV ISTR

I have RSE and mine won't, only rear DVD when moving.
The rear DVD isnt a novelty if you have children although I have never used mine guess that's because I don't have youngsters.

TV works on the rear screens on mine when moving, just the front one cuts out. Rarely use it, but it was good in 2018 when waiting for a ferry whilst the World Cup was on. Folk around us looked at us as if we were mad when we cheered a minute or so before they did as they were watching on phones/tablets etc! Very Happy
