EPB and other fault codes

After some help with these codes please.....2005 D3 auto 2.7TDV6:

Code U2002-01 (Switch general electrical failure - General failure information, general electrical failure).
The EPB comes on when I lift the lever, and releases automatically when I press the throttle to drive off, however, if I press the lever down once (to release the EPB) nothing happens, press it a second time and am rewarded with the amber P warning light on constantly and red P one flashing, as well as "Park Brake Fault" on the instrument cluster screen. The warning lights clear if I switch the ignition off and back on.
Could this be a matter of ‘just’ a new switch or something more sinister? I've read another post about this U2002 code electrical failure with something about the wiring in left rear wheel arch - could anyone expand on this please, like what at and where should I be looking in the rear arch?

At the same time I found two other codes:

B1A03-13 (Speaker 3 circuit - General electrical failure, circuit open)
Presumably this points to a damaged speaker or broken wire, but which is speaker 3?

B1C57-14 (Unused relay drive - General electrical failure, circuit short to ground or open)
Any ideas on this please?

The brake switch could be faulty although there is a connector underneath the switch that does not like moisture, that is tea/coffee/soft drink etc. I would look here first, you can check the switch when you have the console out.

Yes, cheers for that, I've just this minute fixed it, took the switch out, dismantled it and cleaned the pcb and button contacts with contact cleaner, the switch appears to rely on resistance changes to operate the epb as opposed to a straight forward open and closed circuit by the looks of it so we will see how long it lasts.
