Ok. D3 55 129k hse. Truck key fobs working fine until Monday then decided to play dead.
So far I have done the green/white wire splice twice
Hard reset the truck
Reset from gap iid
Checked voltage to rf module in roof which was ok 12.7v
Ordered new blank key with pcb and battery, reprogrammed that via gap tool. It starts the car but doesn’t lock/unlock
Checked both fuses which were ok (43-49)
Fuse board seems ok
Ideas???? D3 work in progress

Just an idea, but if you program the 3rd button on your new key to switch the the lights on, or something else, then if that works the RF unit is probably ok, (not 100% but most likely).
Unfortunately if the 3rd button does not work it does not confirm that the RF unit is faulty.
I guess that as you mention keys working briefly you rightly programmed new and old keys together as programming a new key alone unregisters the old.
I suspect that even an unregistered key with the right blade will start the car.
Good luck

Unless key is programmed to car it won’t start. I tried that. D3 work in progress
