Had..... Dealer re-mapped the engine to try to find the fault. I think JE do the same as everyone else, if it gets over-written, they'll re-do for free? Bodsys Brake Bible

Correct on both counts. However, I'm holding off until I get this hole in the exhaust plugged, and work out why efficiency is still generally down.

Congrats on the 1000, Rob
I get the same problem as this, usually in the summer months though (which implies temperature related). Think I'll have to give the intercooler a going over..... Disco 5 HSE Lux

Any resolution to the MPG being down BCB? LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

I think it's probably back to normal now, it's difficult to be sure though because I don't drive the same routes or the same style as I used to, and I never take the roof rack off and rarely travel on road tyres. I think the biggest improvement came from the intercooler cleanout, but various software updates, plugging the hole in the egr pipes, the tune will all have had an effect.
I found a new route to work recently, speeds range between 10 and 80 depending on how much of the road ahead I can see. After doing this for a week I was averaging 19mpg However, a run to Boughrood at ~55mph yeilded 27mpg which is alright for loaded vehicle with roof rack, MTRs and a beer fridge on constantly.
To be honest, I don't care any more. Now that it costs > £100 to fill it up, I've taken the alternative view that I might as well enjoy it

So what's the minimum that has to come out in order to be able to get a hose through to the back of the intercooler & rad?
Also, Who was it who had the GTR removal instructions? I'm guessing Wiggs as he has everything!
Can you send over?

Just dong this now.... Radiator was flushed from the back with no drama, you could see the mud and crud coming out the front. Intercooler however is full of crud and the only place I've got water coming through to the front, is the fin I poked a tiny plastic tie through to see if it was ever going to run free. Looks like a few more hours of intercooler hosing for me then!!!
I wonder if some vibration assistance would help? Bodsys Brake Bible

Oh, BTW, I did this only having to remove the top fan cowling and intercooler pipe. But you need a hose 'device' to get the water spraying thr right angle. I just used some 15mm copper pipe, joined a 90 bend and a small bit of pipe on the end to give it some spray.
Wasn't as free flowing through it as I'd have liked, but at least no there IS some air able to get through instead of permanently blocked.
Should have done it before we went to France, but hey ho, it's all done now & I expect the old power to be back & perhaps a little increase in economy! Bodsys Brake Bible
