Job completed, both sides. I do not recommend to do it yourself if you do not have
Small hands
Are afraid of bruses on your hands / fingers
Oily dirt under your fingernails
1/4 + 3/8 + 1/2‘‘ ratchet sets
Deep sockets of especially 8 and 10 mm
Extendable Magnet gripper to pick up bits your hands cannot reach
Good memory of what you have dismanteled
The will to safe a lot of money
In the end I encountered plenty of unforeseen things, bolts totally rusted, gaskets been forgotten from previous stealer Jobs, wrong part supplied from vendor – bought left and right orig. LR manifolds from UK and received 2x the same, bolts and ratchets, sockets dropping into engine compartment…..
Anyways, a first engine Start and no leaks, but time will tell and it is for sure something else will happen……

a brief update about the repair.
I have replaced both housings by the OEM parts, 1 or 2 leaks appeared after completion. But the HP lines on 2 injectors were not pushed down properly.
So far and after 3.000 km all ok.
I am really surprised because the consumption dropped from 12,5 l/ 100 km to a little less than 10 l/ 100 km. Highway driving, country road - same as before.
Was it because I cleaned up and removed all the gunk in the inlet hoses and housing. It was full of black stuff, almost like tar.
Let's hope it stays like this looking at the current gas prices.Achim
