Satnav software
Can you run Satnav software (on road) such as Tomtom on a XP based laptop? I've got memory map for off-road but it just seems stupid to have 2 devices in your D3 when one could do the job.Club Exped trailer

Tomtom do software for PDA \ smartphone but not laptops . You coud run software which offers turn by turn and voice ...like MS Autoroute, PC Navigator or Infomap Navigator. I have used MS Autoroute 2007 and it is pretty good ...can't speak for the others.

It's works fine with any GPS SirfIII unit.... but do your homework on the other software available before you commit. I have TBH for general road driving I use a Tomtom 720T which is a cracking unit for the money 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
