Remove rear upper arm bolt with the right tool!
As many of you know, removing the rear upper suspension arm bolt is a pain. They rust, then seize in the metal part of the bush & you can't remove them. You can cut them with a saw, but this is time consuming.
I've found a good tool to make the job easier.
A heat induction tool can heat the bolt and get a change of the way the bolt reacts with it's surroundings. Whilst you would think heating the bolt would cause it to expand & stick more, the movement breaks the hold the rust has over the bolt.
In the video I had already tried to use the air chisel to move the bolt, to no avail.
This particular bolt was seized more than they usually are. I only usually have to heat once to get it to move. But overall, less than 4 minutes to remove is good going.
The induction tool itself is 3.5kw. It uses an electric current to induce heat into the metal component. The actual head doesn't get very hot at all. It is liquid cooled & you can touch it soon after using it & it's cold.

Induction is awesome. This works for a variety of other difficult places like the bolts holding down the ARB bushes.

Yeah, really useful. Good for brake bleed nipples, exhaust nuts. We are finding new uses every week. The heat is very localised, so you don’t damage surrounding components.
