D3 instantanous and vehicle lifetime fuel consumption
Founds threads form years ago, but nothing new and they provided zero info besides the usual ramblings. Workshop manual for D3 under steering column switches mentions the "info" button can bring up multiple things, including "\0Vehicle life fuel consumption" and "\0 Instantaneous fuel consumption." Asked GAP if these are items in the code that can be enabled but they just said: "Good question, I cannot confirm but you might find info here; disco3.co.uk". I saw nothign in the GAP tool when connected and I feel that if these options did exist, it would be somethign that would require a firmware change to the clister, not a CCF change. Of course the other possibility is that the workshop text is just a carry-over from another set of text or a planned feature that was pulled. Anyone here have more knowledge than GAP on this one?

Sorry, just to be clear are you asking if these are readable with the GAP tool as live values or can you not find them when using the car ?
If the latter, there is a button on the end of the left hand stalk marked with an "I" (for "info") - see pictures below... this brings up the information in the centre dash cluster... last photo is of a D4 stalk... slightly different but same functions..
I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

I am talking about the info button on the stalk. Not live value, but info that the drive can bring up when driving without the tool plugged in. The D3, at least, lacks the values I mentioned. - Instantaneous and lifetime fuel.

I am 99% certain I've seen this on a Disco 3. Like, would bet a substantial amount of money on this

Another useless inacurate LR feature, if you get more than 24mpg you are doing good It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
