where can i pick up the speaker system for my disco 3 a
hi all still trying to get my new Chinese android 11 replacement head for my 2005 SE
everything works on the new screen and my old cd player works with sound but cannot get sound from the new head for anything. could be my aux in phone connection rear of arm rest is a no go.
Think i read somewhere with pictures that you can connect the cable provided into an existing socket in the passenger footwell which does the same job, ie gets the heads output into the existing car system.
can anyone point me in the right direction please
almost there but not quiet !!! argh

Press the aux button on headunit
You say you tried the aux jack at the rear ?
The red blue and ground shield are available in the footwell or on the separate headunit connector.
Cut the wires or unplug the rear panel.

You can use the aux socket but you need the old head unit to be fitted for it to workAndrew

Hi I just connected my Apple car play unit in my D4 and had the same issue with no sound
Do you have a blue wire on your harness coming from the radio unit

old radio unit is still in place but old sat nav unit removed in place of new head unit.
no diagram with new unit so not sure which is is the aux
is the blue wire from the old plug in the old radio unit or a blue wire from the new head?

yes its the latest android 11 and comes supposedly with plug and play installation comes with a loop connector to reconnect the fibre optic that was connected to the old sat nav unit, usually has blue tape on it orange wires , the other is orange wires with green tape on and that goes back into the old radio system. all apperas to be good with new head , phone is on bluetooth, radio shows uo, sat nav on screen and works just no sound at all from new unit. old radio does not work as plugs are now into new head unit but cd plater works and sound comes out so have to assume all power connections are good as as they were designed just cannot get sound so far.

Just be careful. As I learnt the D3 and D4 systems are different.
You can’t just connect the blue wire up on a D3
I don’t get how the cd player works ? Where is it ?
Edit. Factory CD. Antenna unplugged, that’s why radio doesn’t function.

Upgrade to Chinese Andriod 10 unit in place of Sat Nav
not got there yet tried looking for the blue wire connection that was suggested but ended up having to go into work so dint get any time to look other than a quick 10 mintues to try to find the spare blue from the new head plug and an exisiting blue from the old plug from the sat nav, frustrating that everything lights up and is there but no sound yet , but aint going to let it beat me , lol
