LHD: Unable to replace lower steering column module
Hello everyone,
I’ve read a lot about replacing the lower steering column module on my left hand drive 2007 D3.
Everyone tells that it would be an easy job, but I am not able to figure out how to remove this f*** part since there is absolutely no space. I’m easy managing to remove the two bolts on the top and on the lower end but can’t remove the part out of the vehicle.
Can someone please give me some advice and maybe some pictures?
I think the problem is my LHD, because the front diff is blocking the way out…
Thanks a lot!!
Manuel

Yes i can see your problem on RHD cars it is easy as the diff only has a torque tube that side.

Thanks for the video! Can’t exactly imagine how to get it out there.
I will give it a try next week…
Any other left hand drivers here?

I had the same nightmare. All I can say is I split it into multiple steps with the steering wheel in different positions. I used duct tape and the seatbelt tensioner....
