A very good question, that took my 13year old son to answer Embarassed yesterday in our new 06 HSE.
When the lovely lady is talking turn up the radio volume dial, I spent 30 mins cursing saying "well thats another thing for the dealer to sort out.."

You can also set the 'off-set' volume for nav, phone, voice by pressing and holding the left hand radio menu button when the car is stationary. This controls how much louder than the audio volume the nav voice comes in at.

One way that I do it is to adjust the volume on the head unit whilst an announcement is being made, that alters the "offset" volume (against the radio, CD etc...), not a permanent setting as it depends on how loud you are listening to the stereo.

Not exactly what you were asking, but I hope it helps Very Happy
