Hey guys. Just got myself a D4 on Monday and have noticed there is a problem with the drivers armrest.
So if I fix it in the position I want, say 90’, when I put a little weight on it the knob loosens off and it droops back down. Is this something I could fix do you recon? (If so any ideas please £
Haha). And if not, would a replacement armrest sort? Or is it the chair mechanism?
Thank you

My last D4 had the same issue,.
Unfortunetly, from what I can remember this is damage to the seat itself..
I think people have repaired them, but means stripping and welding the seat frame..
Sorry for the bad news..
I think it's due to putting too much weight on it and damaged the frame.. Disco4 MY16 SDV6 Landmark Black
Disco4 MY12 SDV6 XS Orkney Grey (Gone)
Defender 90 200tdi Completely rebuilt.

Oh man! Thank you for the feedback. I’ve adjusted my seat a bit and surprisingly the only steady setting isn’t too bad now.

Thank you! It’s a weird one, theres nothing to see really. Just the knob untightens itself when I apply a bit of weight (i.e my arm with some weight) onto it.
Maybe its worth an arm swop? 🤷🏻♀️
