Voice control of nav/phone/radio .....

Has the system changed on D3 models now? My old one was brilliant and worked 100%. The system in my RRS refuses to recognise my voice and its really beginning to Censored me off!

Maybe its Landrovers way of telling me I should have stayed with the D3 Whistle

Or perhaps you should talk like a drug dealer/gangsta rapper? Wink

I'd like to take the opportunity to thank you for your kind advice about Voice control usage but sadly this method has failed to resolve the issue.

Rolling with laughter

Does it work at all/ever? I had problems with mine, and I found I was shouting at it too much Rolling Eyes . Speaking relatively quietly and calmly and it works a treat.... This is for PTI only BTW.....

just spent 20 minutes getting it to program 3 phone numbers in.

Eventually I think I may have sussed it. With the D3 I needed to speak slowly and pronounce ever number carefully. with this one I can almost talk at normal speed. If I slow down and pronounce each number it seems to recognise them all incorrectly nearly every time.

A bit of a pain in the Censored but the last number went in straight away. will start on the nav controls later to program all the destinations in ........deep joj! Yawn

Like I said on RRS look at the settings on your sat nav, if you have the male voice it is set up wrong, I had this on my second D3 and although the man speaks with an English accent it is the American system. Change both settings to UK and you will have more success.

Bow down Bow down

Pelyma - thanks for the help on this one.......as you suggested it was set to American (M) ..... WTF ?? Exclamation

Changed it away from the colonial place and it started working straight away ...... I've even got some radio channels programmed in now - how sad is that!

Thanks again

Mark
