IID Toll Firmware Update

Hi All
I'm trying to update my IIDTool G3's firmware but I'm having problems.
I have downloaded the Updater software and it runs OK, and my IIDTool works fine when plugged into the car OBDII port, but my Windows (Windows 11) laptop refuses to 'see' the IID!

Plugging into USB port does absolutely nothing - have tried different USB ports, different USB leads and even a different computer (although still running Windows 11)

Has anyone else had issues with updating firmware recently?

Thanks
Grant

Did you use the IIDTool original USB lead?

Thanks guys
In response to fly dive…I don’t think so. I have about a million micro usb leads lying around. I was half suspecting that there might be a chip or similar embedded in the leaf to support serial comms

I had that with mine, if using another wire the pc would not see the tool.

Ciao Sidestick.

There is no chip but a lead with all pins connected is needed. I use various leads to update. It’s probably a driver issue.
