OBD Port
Hi all, I have MY14 (facelift) and have a dummy OBD port to put in place where real one is. How easy is it to remove the cowling under the steering wheel? I've had a quick play with it but don't wanna grapple to much with it in case something snaps 🤔.MY2014 Discovery 4 XS - Loire Blue

You can pull the rectangle, the one with an air exhaust, and it’ll get loose. It’s fastened with two Jesus clips ISTR.
The plastic around the steering wheel consists of two pieces fastened with two screws underneath. The top and bottom cowl can then be removed separately.

Hey, Thank you for the replies.
There is a rectangular latch but it appears to be broken (Circled - its all loose?? and feels like something has snapped in there) what does it do? but there is also a panel above the pedals (arrowed) where the OBD port is, I did pull about with this but scared I'll snap something.

The “latch” is your crotch cooler it’s actually a deliberate air vent to direct cooling air to the crotch area on long drives….no lie, honest
To remover the cover, pull down and away “briskly” where I’ve circled, it’ll come off, clips at the top and is hooked in at the bottom.

Be ready for the clips to fly out and go into oblivion, put a spot of grease on the clips when refitting to make it easier to get of next time, if you can find them
Next question, how is the socket it’s self held in position? It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Thanks for that......I'll get the 'quick reflexes' honed
I believe the port is just a push and click type gig......I may be wrong....MY2014 Discovery 4 XS - Loire Blue
