250,000km suspension refurb

250,000km and I guess time for some TLC for the suspension.

Looking at renewing the airbags and struts all round. Original LR items are prohibitively expensive now, post-Covid. So looking at replacement makes.

Seeking opinions of those with previous experience.

BWI or Dunlop?

Plus 1 ref BWI, think for a set of x 4 is around £800

Also heard of Arnott but sadly there around £400 eaxh

Personally when I done mine I also replaced the drop links all round with Meyle HD ones and all the brake hoses, pipes at each wheel

Price difference between BWI and Dunlop is like a few pints.

re Dunlops, I was told back in Oct 2022 by a major supplier that there was a recall for Dunlops with respect to the air bag rubber being of poor quality and the new improved replacements were due at the start of 2023 so it might be worth checking to see if the new Dunlops are available D3 4.4 V8 2005 sadly now gone
Freelander 2 i6 HSE now gone was a very good 4x4
