Did wonder if someone's first post has the word 'brake' in it that, instead of posting it, the forum software could direct them to the brake bible? Wink

It’s been happening since the very early days of this forum and every other forum; it is simply human nature. Can’t blame Facebook for this one…

There is of course no measure available for how many people DO do a search and get their answer, and so don’t post a question.

This forum’s etiquette (unlike others) isn’t to jump on those who ask a question in their first post. It might frustrate a few but I bet that ultimately it helps more people overall.

There’s room on the forum for everyone Smile

I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Well Martin, it is your forum…

But why not extend that etiquette a little and add the “rule” that new members/posters, do a introduction first? As a gesture off politeness?

Maybe Along with a “hello” and thanks is answered, but that can be too much too ask Whistle

Is that a reference to "someone gone" aka the unmentionable Scottish one, or have there been other such members?
