Hi,

each to their own way of working and good luck and many miles of use Thumbs Up

Personally I try and go with Good Value rather than cheap and yes that sometimes means you spend more to start with but not neccesarally spending more in the end Question

Not sure you have Fixed the suspension issue even if it stands level Confused

you say it starts a -4 but how well does it run when it starts Whistle
mine would start at zero degrees but not very smooth and a bit of diesel smoke, I would not want to keep doing it that way so now it has a new set of GP's Very Happy

which means it will be 10+ degrees from now till November Rolling Eyes

Thumbs Up

Without wanting to be rude the 2 of the last 3 replies are laughable. The height sensors work fine they just needed calibrating. I found a cheap way to do so that also which allows lots of adjustment should i wish to change the ride height and are far stronger than the original link rods. Not sure what ball joints you are talking about but if its the original link rods my 2 year old could destroy them in a matter of minutes! How a non load bearing part is going to affect the steering is beyond me, essentially the only change is the ride height sensors are in a slightly different position than they would have been had I recalibrated the sensors.

Suspension seems to work fine now in all ride heights. Runs a bit lumpy on cold start as you say but given replacing the glow plugs isn't cheap and they are problematic to remove seemed like a good fix. Have 3 other cars to use so only there for emergencies.

Did my first bit of off roading in the disco yesterday. Used the height adjusters to add an extra 50mm ride height on the standard raised mode. Quality "bodge"!

I bought a set of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234976309298 which I assume are the same. Brilliant! Raised the disco 40mm for bigger wheels and tyres. Easy to adjust and looks brilliant!

They’re much stronger than the standard ones and less flex in the rubber ends. Takes about ten minutes to adjust when they’re on the car. Just set the height to raised and leave the drivers door open to stop the suspension auto levelling. Loosen the lock nuts and twist the centre and re-tighten the locknuts. Rears are a bit tricky if you’ve got big hands like me!

Terrific car!

My wife runs a Kennel with Borzoi hounds! I needed a third car mainly for taking the dogs to the Race-track! got myself a used Disco 3, 2007 TDV6 with over 130K miles on the clock!...it drives wonderful but with small niggling problems thats all.

My only fear with this car is in fact the Air-suspension?? so far just an orange light which keeps going off and on! I cant see anything wrong with it though??
