D4 interior liner for tip runs
Hi all
Possibly a daft question, does any make a good internal load space cover that covers the whole back area when the seats are down please? Clearing the house up and have got a few tip runs to do and to protect the interior from things rubbing an general knocks I'd like to cover it up as much as possible.
Cheers

Try Custom covers uk and see if that’s the kind of thing you’re looking for.
I use one in my D3 and have rubber mats over the top when I use it for work.

If I get you right and you mean something to line the boot ( not simply cover over the top of what is in the back) then we use Boot buddy. It has an extending piece which slides out to cover the area up to the front seats when you have the rear seats flat. They have all sorts of extra, to cover the inside of the lower boot opening when it is closed for instance. Protects up to the height of the rear plastic side panels.
Not cheap , but we use it a lot for just this sort of thing and it’s done a great job of protecting the interior.
They are made specifically to fit each type of vehicle.

I’ve wondered about hatchbag covers. Can it easily be extended to cover the whole area up the the front seats when the rear seats flat?Gary

It covers all of the backs of the rear seats when raised or folded.
There is/was an optional additional cover. which I had for my Discovery’s and for the FFRR but never actually needed it.
Give them a call. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

I have a custom car covers liner in my D4 and it has survived well over a lot of tip runs during a house move. I have a Hatch Bag liner in a Sportage that is mainly used for the dogs. The batch bag fit and quality is better, but the cost is higher. The only fitting issues I had with the Hatch Bag were down to the silicone base product the dealer used before we for the car, so not a fault with the product. It is a very good fit and would recommend the product.
If your budget does not stretch that far a custom car cover should work well.
Regards,
Steve

I use it for camping (sleeping in the D4) but have removed the sides, as not needed.
I like that the drop down tailgate section is separate, so I keep that section on all year round …. great when sitting back in the tailgate & prevents muddy boots soiling the tailgate carpet....... always on the road less travelled 🚧

get one of these, turn on its side and hook the straps onto the 3rd row seat grab handles.
