FBH settings and operation

Hi,
I have a D3 from 2005.
The FBH works properly when the engine is started.
I have these extras too.

If I turn on the pre-heating, the only option is "30 min".

I can set the time when the heating should turn on.

When I turn off the ignition, a red car appears and flashes for 10 seconds.

The pre-heating work only when I leave the keys in the ignition.
If I remove the keys and lock the car, the pre-heating does not turn on.

My CCF setting:

What to do to make the pre-heating work properly? I wish I had a warm car in the morning.

P.S. Sorry for my English. I use google translate. Embarassed

Shocked Wow
This is old firmware
99% of owners don’t have this function as it was removed

I know.
It's just not working properly anyway.
It only works if I leave the keys in the ignition.
CCF is not original.
Below CCF "AsBuilt" where "Park heater" is disabled.

It never worked even when new. The car has to be “awake” for the timer to work, which makes the timer pointless!

These settings were removed - and various other software fixes made - in the “Enhancement Programme” run by LR to update loads of D3 module software in late 2006.

So it can't be fixed by updating the software?

No!

But installing a webasto clock (model 1533) will

And other (remote) options.. like altox, webasto thermocall, ebay solutions, etc.

Use the search button above and look for FBH remote or use the wiki here (also above)
 Best regards
Harold

I've seen and read it all.
It does not say what if the car settings are available.
I thought that if I have the settings active, then a software update would be enough.

Thank you anyway Smile

No, sorry..

The software update’s (firmware) will remove the option as you have it now completely even (as martin wrote)

It IS a good firmware update though… (use the 2007 features for older models update with GAP IID) as it will give you some usefull features and the FBH feature as you have is now, is rather useless due to the need for the key..
 Best regards
