I did mention to my children that if any of them went to Uni to do arty-farty, media studies or psychology type subjects, then they couldn't expect any financial support from me.
So far so good.
My 7 year old niece does however try to wind me up by telling me she is going to be an artist

He’s got another. Just waiting for the final two choices, then decision time.

Didn’t update recently, but tonight the boy got the last offer through, a full house, so he must be doing something right. Decision time now.

Not really relevant to your son's choices but a good stopry anyway
Friend's daughter got offered Dundee and Aberdeen. He was going to encourage her to take Dundee on the basis that, in an emergency, he could drive to Dundee in about 1.5 hours. He then said that, when he was in the Marines, he'd had some great nights out in the city.
"So you'd like your daughter to go to Dundee so that she can meet lots of guys like you were back in the day?"
