Gear Selector Module

Good morning,

I’ve got the dreaded “stuck in park” fault on my 2014 discovery 4

Is the module just a straight swap in and out?

Im aware there’s a long lead time on new parts but I’ve found a reasonably priced second hand unit from a 2017 Jaguar XE online, would this part work?

Thanks[/url]

ECU testing advertise repairs for these but list quite a few part numbers.

https://www.ecutesting.com/product-catalog...ear-lever/

I have not used them for this but have had an Audi ABS module repaired by them and all was good.

I’ve just had ECU Testing carry out preventative maintenance on my gear selector. Cost about £350and was removed, despatched, repaired, returned and fitted in 5 days.

As I’m curious, what did preventive maintenance in include?

I believe they modify the electronics and remove and replace the component that is subject to failure.

Thanks for the recommendations, sent the module away to ECU testing on a Wednesday, it was tested, rebuilt and posted back by Friday, received on Monday, £319.80 all in with a lifetime / unlimited mileage warranty..

Haven’t had chance to re fit it yet as I’ve been working away but I’ll update the thread once it’s back in next weekend, can’t see there been any issues tho
