D4 air suspension jacking mode? Does it exist |
|
I searched and found that someone put hazards on and left tailgate open. Ok for a tyre change but when leaving car on jack stands overnight, not practical.
I read that pressing key fob unlock and either the lights on button or hazard light button on key fob activated jacking mode (might have been another model though).
I have been setting air suspension to highest height then engine off and jack up and put axle stands under. Occasionally air suspension woke up hour or so later and tried adjusting.
Also, I chock wheels - I tend to leave in neutral and leave epb off.
Again, I'm interested to hear what everyone else does? On a non epb car I put handbrake or in gear depending on what axle is in air after supporting car (wheels chocked first) - unless angle of elevation deems roll off jack likely. I don't want to stretch handbrake, stress gearbox etc.
Thanks
