Front brake pads chamfer and knob!
Fitted the brembo pads and discs last week.
The front pads are chamfered more on one side, the rear pads are equally chamfered btw. As my caliper is at the rear of the front axle brake disc I have fitted them with more chamfer facing downwards, facing the leading edge/oncoming rotation of the brake disc.
The outermost pad also has a knob. I put this pad with it with knob at the higher position. See photo, one photo I lifted from internet.
The photo with instruction contradict brembo's website and the other photo. It would have been impossible to get the knob in the higher position and on outer side of the brake disc.
Hope this helps someone else.
Ps any ideas what purpose of knob is? I'm guessing it weights the pad so it 'leans out at top and into brake disc at bottom' to to introduce less brake pad chamfer initially on braking?
