Alarm/central locking not resetting after battery disconnect

Having disconnected the battery for a couple of hours the remote would not centrally lock and presumably set the alarm to my D3. Having gone through handbook and Haynes manual I can’t see any mention or advice . Can anyone help?
Many thanks

Hi

Last month my both my key fob remotes stopped working. I had just charged the cars battery, but I don't know if that was a coincidence or not.

The central locking not working is well documented on this forum, see link below.

Mine was as per link, 3 wire splice down in the passenger sill wiring loom. I cut, stripped, soldered, and shrink wrapped. Don't be fooled by apperances, the factory splice looked perfect, but was the fault. All working well now, easy job. My sill was full of water caused by a perished elbow on sun roof drain tube up behind the CJB, behind glove box. That was a more involved job to resolve.

Good luck, Blake
