Ferry alarm
So off to the Land Rover show in the Netherlands on Wednesday, I have disabled the keyless entry, so is it one press or two so the alarm doesn't go off on yhe ferry ?

On a D3 you press lock on the remote twice.

I believe it’s just once on the D4 (twice certainly double locks/alarms it).
But no idea if the one press affects the alarm.
I should’ve really checked this out beforehand whilst camping in the D4 ….. but I just left the doors unlocked.
edited to remove the inaccurate D3 bit... it's the same as the D4.

It is just once on the ferry in a D4, pressing twice double locks and fully sets the alarm

Excuse my ignorance, never been on a Ferry with a car.
Why can't you double lock on a Ferry Discovery 4 HSE - Aintree Green

Because if the alarm system is fully set movement of the ferry will set off the alarm.

I, in 17 years, have traveled many times with the D3 on a ferry and I have always locked the car with a single touch without any incident or accidental triggering of the alarm, that was on the ferry, but also on the street, It is a fact, I have always closed my D3 with a single touch… and now asking, have I left it open or without alarm all this time??lost in translation!

Exactly... just go on any Calmac ferry and you'll soon see how many people don't know about this I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Easy to spot who's got a flat battery on arrival in Spain because their car alarm has been honking all the way across the Bay of Biscay D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

I believe the D3 is the opposite way round to the D4, One press is fully armed , two presses is single locking only
