5x135 PCD

Greetings from New Zealand!

I have a 2007 V8 HSE which is Japanese spec imported 2nd hand into NZ.
It currently has Maxis Razr AT 265/60R18

The tyres are not ideal for town driving as there is some scraping when turning sharply
and the spare does not fit nicely in the tyre well

I also have a set of road tyres (same specs) which I want to put on when on tar.

I am struggling to find rims that fit as (and I have checked 10 times) my wheels are 5x135PCD. See the attached picture. Every rim available here is 5x120 and I can find no reference on any website to a D3 having 5x135.

What am I doing wrong?

Best regards
Phillip

Your measuring wrong. It's stud centre to stud centre

All D3s are 5x120 Thumbs Up

Thanks for the reply.

I also thought that but then measured and it was 115mm

And after googling a few sites, they all say the same thing for measuring 5 stud PCD.... Measure from the middle point of one hole to the back end on the other.

I'm very confused

@OP
The 5x120 means 5 bolts (or rather, holes) in the rim and 120 mm PCD which is an abbreviation for Pitch Circle Diameter.

Imagine a circle of 120 mm dia. with 5 equidistant holes for the bolts in a wheel rim.

See image below...

but in this case please disregard your digital caliper reading as it is not measuring the diameter of the PCD, rather it is measuring a chord across the perimeter of the PCD.

All D3 and D4 PCDs are 120 mm as stated prior to my response.

I can't see how that can work reliably. The distance to the BACK of the hole is going to depend on the diameter of the hole (centre to centre is wrong anyway.

The hole size will vary according to the stud/bolt size in the 1st place and in the case of the LR3 it has spigoted nuts which makes the hole larger still.

I'm very confused

Thanks for all the answers!

I do indeed have 5x120 and have learnt something new today.

I have measured from centre of stud to centre of next stud and it is +-70mm

Using the formula at https://ate-uk.com/how-to-measure-pcd/

PCD = S/0.5878

Therefore PCD = +-70mm / 0.5878 = +-120mm

Great to see another Kiwi on this forum, there are not many of us. As my username suggests I'm in the "Naki" (Taranaki).

Suggest you update your profile so that it displays your vehicle details, year, model, colour. It helpful for when the guys are giving feedback to questions, to click on the icon and see what you are driving.

Great forum, lots of really knowledgeable people. Certainly save me a few $$$

Suggest you post on the thread - welcome to disco3 and disco4 -say hello here!

Cheers Blake

Easier and more accurate to measure from the inner edge of one hole to the outer edge of the relevant hole. Thumbs Up
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
