Bank hol traffic
I really pity anyone who was heading south in the M5 late yesterday. We travelled up ( north) from Plymouth back to Brum, and even at 10pm the queues and volume of traffic, inc loads of caravans headed south through Somerset were huge. It was as bad, even at that time if night, as I’ve seen it on some summer Saturdays.
We had a lovely clear run home

Drove from Aberdeenshire to Ardrossan yesterday and a journey that normally takes three and a half hours took four and a half! Accidents and volume of traffic (and people sat in the outside lane of a dual carriageway at 60mph but that’s for another thread)..
The queues going the opposite direction looked horrendous I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

My scheduled session with my PT in Weymouth yesterday afternoon.... used the "local" routes and got there fine. On the way home the traffic heading into Weybiza was bonkers. Another member of the gym took 1:20 to drive in, a trip that usually takes him 25mins.
Spent most of last night listening to one particular child yelling at everyone else to "go away!" at the top of his lungs. Impressive, considering he was yelling from the pop-up campsite about a mile away across the water meadows! When we walked the dogs this morning we heard his distinctive tone again. Resisted the urge to release the hounds....
Think I'll stay home until Tuesday, except to venture out on the bike.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Wasn't just later on. Left Manchester at 1pm and got to Teignmouth at 7:45 pm.
About an hour getting past Bristol was the worst part..

In in the deepest south e tend to get all provisions in Thursday night for a long weekend, then hunker down for the onslaught.
Our little roads aren't built for Caravans or Tarquins Porsche Caymans etc.
Mate of mine works at a repair garage and the next 3 months are the busiest by far.
SWMBO works in hospitality and this year she's odds on to take a human life..
Enjoy everyone. All things shipping, storage, transport. UK and worldwide.

Popped down to Scorrier last Monday & we were say the stretch that's being duelled between Carland Cross & Three Burrows is going to be a even more of a nightmare in August than usual until it's completed
