I know that there are both LEGO enthusiasts hereabouts and thought some might be interested in this video.
Takes it a bit far by making it capable of marking off a billion years, but the basic clock stuff is rather interesting and shows nicely how simple pendulum clocks work. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

I enjoyed that.
I’m not sure the power pack or indeed the mechanical release parts would last much more than the first of the billion years. An ex-Disco3 / FFRR owner ......

I was surprised that there was enough energy to overcome all of the friction from the various mechanisms. I did wonder if there might be a sneaky electric motor in there that we can't see, as well as the one used for rewinding. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Does this define the indestructabilty of Lego plastic.
And I think the year counter should have been pre set from the big bang
but then again do we know how long ago that was. To the nearest year of course! A visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an is still an EV. Strictly speaking its SWMBO.
